Abstract

The widths of coronal ions lines may contain important information about the energetics of the solar wind and corona. We present a method to measure these widths, taking into account the problems of instrumental stray light inherent to SoHO/SUMER. The Iron lines are interesting to set an upper limit on the ``unresolved'' velocity, that may be a signature of turbulent or wave motion in the corona.
